Administrative Monetary Penalties - Processes and Program set up

 

In August 2011,  the Ontario Law Commission recommended to the Provincial government, as part of the Modernization of the Provincial Offences Act report, that all municipalities switch to a system of Administrative Monetary Penalties for parking violations.  This would mean that Part II of the POA would be eliminated.  This potential requirement coupled with the existing ability to use Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMP) for licensing by-law violations, means that you may need resources to effect this change.  AMPS Consulting is positioned to guide the development of Administrative Monetary Penalty processes and operations for all municipalities and public agencies.
